Zambia, like much of Africa, is facing an environmental crisis: the relentless tide of textile and e-waste that floods our markets, pollutes our land, and damages our planet. Over 60% of textiles in Zambia end up in landfills, and our country generates a staggering 4,000 tonnes of e-waste each year, with only a tiny fraction of it being responsibly recycled.

Every day, Zambian households are inundated with things that no longer serve a purpose—clothes that no longer fit, phones that have been replaced by newer models, and gadgets that have outlived their usefulness. Sadly, these items often find their way into the trash, adding to the mounting waste crisis. But at Flip, we refuse to accept that as the future.
